Die Riviera Maya Die Riviera Maya ist ein Paradies für Taucher. Die 4 Buchten, aus denen Akumal und Umgebung besteht, werden begrenzt, was gemeinhin als das zweitgrößte Barriereriff der westlichen Hemisphäre gilt und bietet unseren Tauchgästen eine große Vielfalt an Unterwasserlandschaften.
Blue Experience hat mehr als 18 Tauchplätze ausgewählt, die von nur 10m (35ft) bis 30m (100ft) reichen.
An den flacheren Tauchplätzen in 10–15 m Tiefe (30–50 ft) begegnen wir vielen Schildkröten, kleinen Rochen, Hummern, Rotfeuerfischen, Trompetenfischen, Muränen und einigen großen Barrakudas. Große Korallenformationen verlaufen parallel zum Hauptriff und bieten zahlreichen kleineren Fischarten Schutz sowie Halt für viele Gorgonien und Schwämme. In diesem klaren, flachen Wasser gedeihen Hartkorallen besonders gut.
Tiefere Tauchplätze zwischen 20 und 30 m (65–100 ft) bieten die Möglichkeit, zahlreiche Canyons zu erkunden und nach schlafenden Ammenhaien, großen Grünen Muränen und anderen größeren Arten Ausschau zu halten.
Schildkröten sind an allen Tauchplätzen zahlreich vertreten, ebenso wie die farbenfrohen karibischen Rifffische. Die Strömung ist hier sehr schwach, wodurch all unsere Tauchplätze sanft und leicht zu betauchen sind – ideal für Taucherinnen und Taucher aller Erfahrungsstufen.
Alle Tauchplätze sind bequem mit dem Boot erreichbar – die Fahrt dauert nur 5 bis 15 Minuten.
Wir begrenzen unsere Gruppen auf maximal fünf Taucher pro Guide, um viel Platz und einen persönlichen Service zu gewährleisten.

I had a breathtaking dive through Dos Ojos cenote with Eduardo! He has the timing down so we were first in, on our surface interval when the next gaggle of divers went through, and had the line all to ourselves again for the second dive. The equipment I rented was in great shape and he did a thorough job with the dive brief. I felt comfortable and prepared. Sarah and Eduardo were professional and easy to communicate with. I’d absolutely dive with them again! Added bonus: they have a very fluffy friendly doggy I met in the dive shop ☺️

Excellent experience from start to finish, far better than the diving school based in the hotel I was staying at just around the corner from Blue Experience shop.
The staff at blue experience diving were genuinely friendly, helpful and professional, and multi lingual and definitely not pushy for sigh up. I was on a PADI open water divers course with another person,
so a 2 to 1 ratio the dive instructor made us both feel at ease, and managing both of our different levels of ability, on the last dive we was joined by 2 other divers, but because of the weather we was unable to dive at sea so we was taken to a cenote (fresh water around the root systes of the mangroves) a very beautiful place to dive and a different experience to being at sea.
I left having passed my course and a massive sense of achievement.
Thanks to all the great staff there it was brilliant and you made it a awesome experience.

What we liked the most is that Akumal Beach is a small town without the touristy craziness of Playa or Cozumel, so finding a very well established local operation like this one in Akumal is perfect.
